Hotwire – Bulk Cable TV & Internet

Effective October 1, 2019, Hotwire Communications is Wimbledon’s bulk cable TV and Internet service provider. Throughout 2019, Hotwire installed an all-new, dedicated fiber optic network within Wimbledon.

All units have Fiber to the Unit (“FTTU”) and installed units have fiber installed throughout the inside of each home.

As part of this bulk agreement, digital cable TV and Internet services are included in the monthly Association assessment.

What is Hotwire?

Hotwire Communications, founded in 2000, is a Florida-based provider of fiber optic communications services, serving markets throughout a majority of the North and Southeastern United States, including Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, and Ohio. Hotwire is a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) and Franchised Cable Operator, giving them ability to construct in public rights of way.

Hotwire owns and operates a dedicated independent fiber optic backbone in all of its core markets. Individual customers are connected by Fiber-to-the-Unit (FTTU) technology, utilizing an end-to-end fiber optic infrastructure that enables Hotwire to offer gigabit speeds over 100 times faster than the average connection delivered in the United States. This network of dedicated fiber lines makes services redundant, providing Internet service with little to no interruption under normal conditions and unlimited use without data caps.

Hotwire does not provide retail services, and only serve multi-family communities, such as Homeowners Associations (HOAs). You can learn more about Hotwire Communications here

This service represents roughly $103 of cost, per month, of the per unit monthly assessment. It also substantially reduced or eliminate many resident’s TV and internet costs, previously purchased through Comcast, saving most homeowners between $30-$90 per month on average.
